Lovelady! Country! East Texas!
“Situated just 1 hour from The Woodlands and a short drive from Houston.” Sure, that might be a bit of a stretch—but come on, we were all curious, weren’t we?

There’s something about owning a piece of the Texas countryside—our own peace and quiet away from the buzz of city life—that just felt right.
We all saw the posts, the ads, the listings… and yeah, it may have seemed too good to be true. But here we are. And now? We’ve got this amazing neighborhood, with equally amazing neighbors.
If this has been a social experiment, sign me up again—y’all are awesome.
Back in February, we voted in our POA Board: President, Vice President, and Secretary/Finance Officer. The three of us feel incredibly lucky to be here, to serve this community, and to help make things even better.
That’s why we’ve launched this brand-new community website—designed to keep things simple, organized, and accessible for everyone. We’ve also created a YouTube channel where we’ll be sharing helpful tutorials, board introductions, community Q&A’s, and more.
You’ll start seeing live video updates, too—perfect for those who aren’t always “boots on the ground” here at LSR but still want to stay in the loop. Because no matter where you are, your voice matters in this community.

“Neighbors by chance, community by choice.”
(—Your new favorite quote, maybe?)
So I’ll keep this first post short and sweet, but I just wanted to say: your board team is here for you, we’re genuinely excited to be part of this community, and we can’t wait to meet each and every one of you!
With gratitude,
—Your LSR Board Team

About the Author
Howdy, neighbors! I’m the elected President of the POA, which—let’s be honest—feels a little like y’all voted in “Ron Swanson” – but with Wi-Fi. I’m a country girl through and through, with a passion for nature, animals, the Second Amendment, and the kind of conservation that still involves blood.
When I’m not herding community updates or chasing down board duties, you’ll find me in full-blown hunter mode—sometimes with a bow, sometimes with something that goes BOOM, and always with purpose. Fishing? Definitely! If it involves snorkeling and dangling a lure directly in front of a fish’s unsuspecting face, old-school style? Bonus.
I aim to create my homestead, keep chickens (the kind that earn their keep…or else), and occasionally give in to naming one or two…until it’s dinner time. My idea of a good afternoon includes driving my tractor, learning welding and electrical tricks from my man Rich, or lounging in a hammock with a good tween read—think Lord of the Rings or Artemis Fowl (yes, really).
Thanks for being part of this wild, wonderful ride at Lone Star Ridge—I’m here for it, and I’m here for y’all.
